HHHRA holds First Annual Legislative Day Luncheon

    April 27, 2011
The Harrison Hancock County Human Resource Association held their First Annual Legislative Day Luncheon on Thursday, April 21, 2011.  The luncheon was held at Salute' in Gulfport, Mississippi and attended by over 40 members throughout Harrison, Hancock and Jackson Counties.

Special guest speakers were Representative Roger Ishee from Harrison County and Senator David Baria from Hancock County.  These dignitaries were asked to speak on their experiences in managing employees or as a business owner.   After speaking, the members were given an opportunity to pose individual questions to the legislators, which gave them a face-to-face meeting with our representatives.  This experience also gave them an opportunity to determine how best to contact our legislators should the need ever arise.

The members were urged to bring supplies for the victims of the recent storms in Leakesville, Mississippi.  The donations of water and cleaning supplies pictured were delivered to directly benefit the relief fund.  Pictured are (left to right ) Greg Payne, President; Amanda Ford, Southern District Director; and Chris Woolbright, President-Elect.
