Interview Me Not: How Late is Too Late

We don’t live in a perfect world and, since our world is not perfect, is it realistic to expect all candidates scheduled for an interview to all arrive on time? Or, should we be lenient and judge each case individually?

First impressions are lasting and this is especially true in the interview process. A job candidate has the ability to set the tone from the first interaction with a company. Unfortunately, those first impressions are sometimes so badly received that they destroy any credibility that a candidate might have for the job.

Gulf Coast HR Symposium

The Chapter Board and membership of the Gulf Coast Human Resource Association (GCHRA) did an amazing job of recruiting great speakers, providing a great meal, and - to make it even better - lunch was fantastic! Adding the opportunity to network with other HR professionals made this an event that was time and money well spent.

Mississippi SHRM Retreat

Mississippi SHRM Retreat
I received notice today that the 2013 Mississippi SHRM Leadership Retreat will be February 01-02, 2013. It will be at the Alluvian Hotel in Greenwood, Mississippi. Friday will have a Mississippi SHRM State Council meeting from 10am - 4pm and then the Leadership Retreat will be the next day from 8:00am - 4:00pm.
